A distinct sonic journey through the 5-string e-cello, expanded with electroacoustic media. The works commissioned for this project form a kaleidoscope of unique sound worlds. Between the metallic, the diaphanous, and the strident, these pieces merge instrumental gesture and technology to forge new alloys that challenge the traditional notion of the musical instrument.

Voces Electroacústicas
This project comprises five works written by composers from different nationalities and diverse musical contexts. Here, their personal languages as creators are expressed not only through their respective compositions but are accompanied by unique voices – songbirds, madrigalists, and bells; the silent laments of war; the Neapolitan song of the nostalgic migrant; and the whispers of lovers in their delirious passion – all coming to life and emerging as sonic marvels that tell their own stories.

En torno al Violoncelo
Panorama de compositores de la UNAM
A musical journey bringing together contemporary works for cello composed by both emerging and established talents associated with the National Autonomous University of Mexico. This album offers a fresh and diverse perspective on the university’s compositional landscape, where the cello becomes an expressive vehicle for a wide range of styles and emotions, from introspective and poetic to experimental and avant-garde.
Through these pieces, the composers explore the instrument’s sonic and technical possibilities, engaging in dialogue with classical traditions as well as contemporary approaches that define current Mexican musical creation. The result is a sonic mosaic celebrating the creative richness of the UNAM academic community and its commitment to artistic innovation.
